In architectural terms, the winery has a traditional style and has its origins in ancient roman buildings, with a construction around the central Atrium clearly influenced by Paladio. The building attempts to find a balance between form and functionality. The construction demonstrates the elegance and functionality that has been given to this centre.
To carry out this project, very important companies in the construction and engineering industry have come together to bring this new architectural design to life, which supposes the development of the new installations of Emina winery, located in the village of San Bernardo, in the province of Valladolid. This innovative project has received an investment of 20 million euros.

The centre is situated within a piece of land measuring some 35,000 square metres. Of these, the winery occupies 10,000 square metres, and then there are the access roads and the car park. The structure is formed by concrete pillars and girders with a lot of light and laminated wood. The bottling area is covered by a great glass dome. The new Emina winery will be inaugurated in the beginning of 2006.
The visitor will be able to follow all the winemaking processes, from the very beginning up to the last step, bottling and storage. This last step will be observed from a glass pyramid situated above the bottling line. |
