Wine making

n order to produce the Emina wines, the grape has been carefully selected from the very best estates in the “Golden triangle” of wine in the Designation of Origin “Ribera del Duero”. The “Emina” wine spends 12 months at the crianza stage and comes from the grape plantations called ‘Las Celadillas’ and ‘El Coto de San Bernardo’. ‘Emina Prestigio’ comes from the ‘Valdebaniego’ estate and the Vino de Pago (single vineyard wine), ‘Emina Atio’, grapes come from ‘El Horno’.

The grapes are harvested at just the right time and they are always picked by hand, undergoing a quality selection process at the same time.

Ageing

he Ageing of Emina wines is carried out at the winery’s own plant. We have 2,300 new casks in the ageing facilities. 70% of these barrels are made of American oak and the remaining 30% of French oak.
